Ann Romney to Denate Michelle Obama

ATLANTA — CNN will break new ground when it hosts an historic debate between the wives of the presidential candidates in mid-October. Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, is set to spar with first lady Michelle Obama in the 90-minute event to be moderated by Wolf Blitzer.

The “First Lady Debate” will be the first in history to pit the spouses of presidential candidates against one another.

Michelle Obama called the event a “wonderful opportunity to educate and uplift the American people.”

“I look forward to exchanging ideas with Mrs. Romney about improving the nutrition and health of our children,” said Mrs. Obama. “I hope it will be an educational evening for everyone, regardless of political affiliation.”

Her opponent, however, seemed less than enthusiastic.

“I’ve never seen a black woman up close,” said Ann Romney in an interview on Fox News. “I’m a little scared.”

The debate takes place on October 14 in the Cayman Islands.
