Romney Leads Obama Among Oblivious Voters

Gov.Mitt Romney leads President Obama among oblivious voters, according to a new CNN poll released today.

ATLANTA (TheSkunk.org) — Gov. Mitt Romney leads President Obama among oblivious voters, according to a new CNN poll released today. When asked, “Which candidate do you think is better equipped to solve the nation’s problems?” 48% percent of voters who don’t have a clue about anything chose Romney, compared with 21% for Obama.

“Oblivious voters have traditionally been a more Republican group in past,” according to CNN Assistant Polling Director Alba Trosse. “But it is a mistake to say that the race has tilted toward Romney, because most oblivious voters have no idea what day the elections are held, where their polling place is located, or what country they live in.”

31% percent of oblivious voters were not aware they were being asked the question.

The CNN poll was conducted Monday, with 1,500 oblivious Americans, including 576 likely oblivious voters and 924 totally oblivious voters, questioned by telephone.
