Obama Campaign Booboo

With the Democratic primaries becoming ever more contentious and controversial, the campaign of Sen. Barack Obama ran into yet another hitch yesterday, when a back-ordered shipment of bumper stickers arrived at their Chicago headquarters, containing a slight typographical error. The text on the sticker read: “Osama ’08.”

The campaign issued a statement today, denying any connection with the world’s most-wanted terrorist and quoting the senator as saying he “regretted the error.”

Hillary Clinton addressed the issue in a speech later that day. “If it were my campaign that had a typo in its bumper sticker, I would do more than ‘regret’ it, I would renounce it, repudiate it and reject it, outright. I’m not saying that’s what Senator Obama should do; I’m saying that’s what I would do.”
